Pool Automation

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be tech-savvy to automate your pool or use pool automation products. Most automation products are plug and play to install, followed by a simple connection process to a network and/or Bluetooth device(s). And, the great thing about the latest pool automation products - you can control your entire pool from anywhere.

Here’s how to automate your pool:

  1. Before purchasing automation equipment, ensure you have a reliable internet connection. The latest pool automation equipment connects wirelessly to your home network.
  2. Purchase a pool control system - this will be the heart of your automation.
  3. Connect the pool controller to power and plug your other pool equipment into the controller’s power outlets. Note, not all pool equipment is compatible with this technology. Typically, only newer gear will work.
  4. Check the user guide and connect your pool controller wirelessly to the internet.
  5. Then, connect your controller to your other devices via Bluetooth if possible.
  6. Download any supporting applications for your controller, this will likely be your means of controlling your pool equipment remotely.
  7. Test your equipment works via the touchscreen interface on your pool controller, then again on your smart device via the application.
  8. Enjoy!
