Fluidra recently discovered a manufacturing defect in the lithium-ion battery casing of a limited batch of Zodiac FreeRider FR1000iQ robotic pool cleaners. As Fluidra is committed to the safety and quality of their products, we have initiated a **voluntary recall** and will replace any affected Zodiac FreeRider FR1000iQ units at no cost to you.
Fluidra recently discovered a **manufacturing defect in the lithium-ion battery casing** of a limited batch of Zodiac FreeRider FR1000 iQ robotic pool cleaners. As Fluidra is committed to the safety and quality of their products, we have initiated a voluntary recall and will replace any affected Zodiac FreeRider FR1000 iQ units at no cost to you.
The recall is limited to a small batch of **Zodiac FreeRider FR1000 iQs** which were manufactured between **week 47 of 2023 and week 5 of 2024**. Part Number Model WR000527 FREERIDER FR1000 IQ Dates sold to dealers: **26 February 2024 – 27 May 2024**. Zodiac dealers may have sold these items after 27 May 2024. Affected products will have a serial number that includes one of the 4-digit numeric combinations below, in the position in the serial number in bold. For example, ACLA030133XXXX1234. **4723; 4823; 4923; 5023; 5123; 5223; 0124; 0224; 0324; 0424; and 0524** (Eg. 4723 indicates the 47th week of 2023)
If you own a FreeRider FR1000 iQ Robotic Pool Cleaner that is a part of the affected batch, please follow the steps below. Consumers with affected products are advised: 1. **Turn off your unit** and **do not use or charge it**. 2. **Keep the unit separate from the docking station**. 3. **Register your unit** via www.zodiac.com.au/productrecall to have Fluidra arrange for the affected product to be picked up from your premises and the delivery of a new replacement unit. This will be **at no cost to you**.
If you own a FreeRider FR1000 iQ Robotic Pool Cleaner, please follow the steps below to register your unit for the recall. 1. Visit **www.zodiac.com.au/productrecall** and select the FreeRider FR1000 iQ recall option to access the product recall information. 2. Next, follow **Step 1** to identify if you have an affected unit. 3. Next, follow **Step 2** to complete the Product Replacement Form so that your product can be collected and replaced. *Please note that the form is per product, if you have more than one unit you will need to fill out an additional form.
Once you have registered your Zodiac FreeRider FR1000 iQ Robotic Pool Cleaner via the Product Replacement Form (Step 2) on our website - you will receive an **automated confirmation** that the Recall Customer Support Team has received your submission. Next, a representative from the Recall Customer Support Team will **review your case** and confirm we have all the necessary information to proceed. Following the review of your case, you will receive an **email with more information** about the upcoming collection of your affected unit, and delivery of your new replacement unit.
All replacement units will be provided **at no charge by Fluidra Group Australia Pty Ltd**. We will arrange the collection of your affected unit and delivery of your new replacement unit via local courier services.
